come rain or shine

Yesterday wasn't so peachy.

No, in fact, it was pure crap.

But here's where the beauty of being surrounded by children all day comes in.  They teach you stuff.

Yesterday my one-year-old taught me to find happiness in a down pour and wonder in the tiniest sliver of sunshine.

Touche', Birdie girl, touche'.

What a great way to start my morning!

My babies are 19 and 24 but oh I remember those moments of me just watching them for hours and hours.

Other Moms around me lunched and shopped, but I sat with sticky "oatie oh's" (as we called them) in my hair and stuck to my clothes and just cooed and giggled with them at this age...knowing it would pass far too quickly. it did....now, I wait for grandchildren and coo over every small child I see much to my children's chagrin.

sigh... guess I'll go watch the sunbeams some more.

I think I could watch that all day and become the Buddha.

This made my day! When we lived in La Jolla, we had an infant and a toddler. It rained all day, every day, from December through February. I had lots of time to watch their precious antics and loved every minute of it!! And, yes, our toddler toddled around the patio in the rain and he loved every minute of it!

Good to see that it does rain in California!!

Best.

Not that it's a contest but I bet my boots my day was crappier than yours. Let's just say it involved: stirrups, stitches & surgery...nuff said. Anyway, birdie made my day!!! Thanks!
