prime real estate

A swanky little bird has taken up residence in my fuschia plant.


I have decided to call her Tessy Lou. A fussy name for a fussy fowl. Now I just have to figure out how to water my plant without getting the nest wet and cooling the eggs.

Hi, stumbled across your blog... I had a bird that took residence in a hanging plant for 3 years straight! The good thing is that it stays fertilized. I never had any issue watering the plant until the babies were born then the mother was VERY protective of course. But it was so great to watch right there on my porch! Good luck!!!

I have a few bird nest issues of my own. Yesterday I saw two baby birds on the ground next to the jasmine plant in front of my house. Anyway, after carefully putting them back in what I thought was the right nest. I heard more chirping. I found 4 freakin' nests. Son of a ....
